AI-Generated Notes
LiftOff can draft a note from uploaded images or documents on a project. You review and edit the draft before saving it as a normal note.
When to use this page
Speed up capture when a photo of a whiteboard, PDF brief, or vendor sheet should become a searchable project note.
Who can do this
Members, admins, and owners with AI enabled can generate note drafts. Project guests cannot use this feature.
How to generate a note draft
- Upload supported files to the project if they are not there already.
- Start Generate note from files (wording may vary) from the note or file actions.
- Select the files to include.
- Wait for generation to finish.
- Review the draft title and body carefully.
- Edit wording, then save as a project note.
Next steps
- Saved notes behave like manually created notes.
- Teammates can comment on the note.
- The note shows as AI generated in activity history.
Good to know
- AI may misread handwriting, crops, or low-resolution images.
- Verify dates, quantities, and client names before sharing externally.
- Generation time depends on file size and load.
