Schedule Blocks
Schedule blocks are timed entries on a project calendar: prep, travel, setup, event, teardown, deliveries, meetings, and deadlines.
When to use this page
Blocks give your team a shared run-of-show timeline beyond a single event start time.
Who can do this
Members, admins, and owners can view blocks on accessible projects. Editing may follow project edit permissions.

Auto-generated blocks
When enabled in Schedule Settings, LiftOff creates blocks from project setup, event, and teardown times using your company's default durations for prep, travel buffer, and teardown.
You may be asked to review generated blocks before they are finalized.
Edit a block
- Open the block from the project Schedule section, project timeline, or Calendar.
- Adjust title, times, type, or status.
- Save changes.
See Project Schedule for the project-level Schedule section.
Manual blocks
Add blocks manually when auto-generation does not fit a project (multi-day install, split crew, and similar).
Next steps
- Blocks appear on Calendar and Home schedule summaries.
- Crew can plan around confirmed blocks on show week.
Good to know
- Blocks are planning tools; always confirm with venue and client contracts.
- Company defaults apply unless the project overrides them where allowed.
