Inventory Item Detail
Each catalog item has a detail panel with tabs for overview, logistics, dependencies, task templates, and usage history.
What this is for
Go beyond a simple name and category. Logistics, dependencies, and task templates help LiftOff suggest prep work and surface related items during project planning.
Who can use this
Owners, admins, and members can view and edit item details.
How to open item detail
- Open Inventory.
- Select an item from the list.
- Use the tabs across the top of the detail panel.
Detail tabs
Overview
Summary of the item: name, code, category, status, source type, quantity, and quick stats such as dependency count.
Logistics
Transport method, dimensions, weight, setup and teardown times, and storage notes. Complete logistics for better project and schedule planning.
Dependencies
Link related catalog items — for example, a backdrop that requires specific stands or hardware. Dependencies help the team see what else to pack.
Task Templates
Reusable task patterns tied to this item, such as inventory checks or prep steps. Templates can suggest tasks when the item appears on a project.
Usage
Where and how often the item has been used across projects.
What happens next
- Return to the catalog to add more items in Managing Catalog Items.
- Review how the item matches on projects in Matching and Catalog Gaps.

- Incomplete logistics show a prompt to add transport and setup details.
- Task templates respect your company's task categories and phases.
