Editing Tasks
Update a task when details change: new due date, different owner, revised instructions, or corrected category.
When to use this page
Keep tasks accurate so assignees and leads know what is still expected.
Who can do this
Anyone who can edit the project can usually edit its tasks.
How to edit a task
From a project
- Open the project Tasks section.
- Select the task or open the edit action.
- Update fields as needed.
- Save.
From the Tasks page
- Go to Tasks.
- Open a task in list or board view.
- Edit fields in the task panel or window.
- Save.
Fields you can change

Next steps
- The assignee may receive a task change email if notifications are enabled.
- Updated tasks appear on the Task board and project timeline immediately.
Good to know
- Tasks suggested by AI become normal tasks once accepted; edit them like any other task.
- Deleting a task removes it from the project; confirm before deleting.
